Honda Reveal Name of First EV
It's cute. It's electric. And now, it's got a name.
Honda have revealed that their upcoming all-electric car will be called the Honda e. This will be the first vehicle in the brand's push to full electrification by 2025.
The little hatch, debut at the Geneva Motor Show as a prototype, features a bespoke EV platform and a rear-wheel drive layout and in the UK 6,500 motorists have already told Honda they want one.
The Japanese automaker will also reveal the next-gen Jazz at the Tokyo Motor Show later in the year, featuring hybrid options and their i-MMD (Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive) technology.
The i-MMD system has already been utilised in the CR-V Hybrid model, but transferring the dual motor setup into the smaller segments is the next step as Honda head towards their electrification goal.
